For the second straight game, Owen will face off against Avery County. Owen will host Avery County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Owen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Owen was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Avery County on Tuesday. Owen put the hurt on Avery County with a sharp 15-1 win. The Warhorses haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Mia Roland, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophie Neal, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Roland wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Owen lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Avery County is on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. As for Owen, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
