Recap: Legend Titans vs. Highlands Ranch Falcons
Even though the Highlands Ranch Falcons scored an imposing 69 points on Thursday, the Legend Titans still came out on top. Legend took their contest against Highlands Ranch 80-69. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Legend.
Seth Whitehead was his usual excellent self, shooting 8-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 36 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Whitehead, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Highlands Ranch lost, one person who can't be blamed is Olin Anderson. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton TerEick, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Legend has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Highlands Ranch, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legend will take on Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legend has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 397 points over their last six matchups. As for Highlands Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. Chaparral will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Highlands Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
