Volleyball Recap: Kewanee Takes a Loss

Kewanee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on September 2nd.

Kewanee may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 13 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13.

Kolbie Cernovich paced Kewanee's offense, picking up two kills. Cernovich got some help from Macee Pickering and her eight assists.

Kewanee now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Erie-Prophetstown, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Kewanee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Bureau Valley on the 4th. As for Erie-Prophetstown, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Pecatonica on the 4th.
