Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Lewis Angapak

Lewis Angapak waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over the Chief Paul Memorial Falcons. That's the sixth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 56-28 victory on Friday.

Lewis Angapak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Friendly led the charge by as she made all 6 shots she took for 14 points. Friendly is also crushing it when it comes to shooting accuracy: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Shalisa McDalton, who made all 5 shots she took to post 12 points.

Lewis Angapak's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points over those games. As for Chief Paul Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
