Volleyball Recap: Rincon/University Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rincon/University lost against Sahuarita back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rangers fell 3-1 to the Mustangs.

While Rincon/University had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Charlotte Cruz paced Rincon/University's offense, picking up nine kills. Cruz got some help from Anais Hallowell and her 11 assists. Finally, Cruz was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Paige Clarke had an outrageously good game for Sahuarita as she had ten digs, five kills, and three aces. That's the most kills Clarke has posted since back in September.

Rincon/University has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season. As for Sahuarita, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Rincon/University has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Ironwood Ridge on the 30th. As for Sahuarita, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Salpointe Catholic on the 6th.
