Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Takes a Loss

North Hills Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 81-31 loss at the hands of the Lake Norman Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Lions are ranked 167th).

Despite the loss, North Hills Christian still got an impressive performance from Maverick Ball, who posted 11 points. That was a full 35.5% of North Hills Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

North Hills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lake Norman Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hills Christian will venture away from home to take on Statesville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Hills Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. As for Lake Norman Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Westminster Catawba Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
