Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dawson). They never let the Sam Rayburn Texans get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Texans: they've now won six in a row.

Braydon Hicks and Garritt Romero were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Hicks tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Romero tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Hicks scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Romero went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Romero launched this season.

In other batting news, David Alanis was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Zach Caldwell was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Dawson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dawson's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sam Rayburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-2 record this season.
