Basketball Game Preview: Southwind Jaguars vs. Germantown Red Devils

The Southwind Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Germantown Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwind will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Southwind challenged Arlington on Tuesday. Southwind sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 victory over Arlington.

Among those leading the charge was Kingston Goodwin, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Ronald Towns was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Germantown was able to grind out a solid win over Collierville on Tuesday, taking the game 46-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Southwind has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Germantown, their record is now 10-6.

Southwind skirted past Germantown 34-31 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwind since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
