Basketball Recap: East Central Skates Past St. John's Prep with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Central). They breezed by the St. John's Prep Johnnies to the tune of 79-35 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

East Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for St. John's Prep, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Central will square off against Floodwood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John's Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
