Football Recap: Fort Lee Skates Past Bergen Tech with Ease

Fort Lee put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Bergen Tech Knights. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Bridgemen this season.

A big part of Fort Lee's victory came down to the chemistry between Luke Senatore and his top target Azel Orta. Senatore threw for 103 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes while Orta picked up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown. What's more, Senatore racked up 141.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Fort Lee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 292 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Fort Lee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Greenberg and Andrew Gegechkori. Fort Lee got some further help from Jase Chery: he made 13 total tackles and defended three passes.

Fort Lee's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bergen Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Fort Lee will face off against Kearny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bergen Tech, they will take on Indian Hills at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
