Naugatuck Valley - Brass recap December 3, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Naugatuck Valley - Brass this week, Ansonia beat Naugatuck 66-28. The victory was the 12th in a row for the team.

Wilby took down Sacred Heart 46-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jacob Thomas ran for 251 yards in the win.

Vincient Gambino threw for 320 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 30-53 with 3 interceptions.

Arkeel Newsome provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ansonia topped the Greyhounds.

Newsome was a force in the backfield as Thomas Brockett's team beat Naugatuck.

Gambino put up the best numbers in passing as Wolcott fell to Holy Cross. Gambino's favorite target this week was Jayson Matos, who caught 10 passes for 125 yards.

The Eagles' Gambino and Adam Santopietro led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gambino has thrown for 2,756 yards this season, while Santopietro has 56 catches for 972 yards. The Chargers' Newsome leads the league in rushing yards with 2,858.

So far this year, he has acheived 56 catches for 972 yards.

In 172 carries Anthony Yordon has accumulated 946 yard this year.
