Basketball Game Preview: Summit Tigers vs. Standley Lake Gators

Having just played yesterday, the Summit Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Standley Lake Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Summit lost 59-37 to Golden on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Standley Lake earned a 56-48 win over Longmont on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Summit better focus on containing Sydney Martin and Aaliyah Valenzuela as the pair were huge in Standley Lake's win. Martin dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards, while Valenzuela went 7 of 11 on her way to 17 points and four steals. Martin is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Mikela Alvarado was another key player, putting up six points.

Standley Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Standley Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
