Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Arvada). They breezed past the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans to the tune of  61-21 on Monday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  games by 21  points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvada to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Carmen Medina, who  dropped  a double-double with 11 points and ten  rebounds. That's the most  points  Medina has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Dye, who  dropped  a double-double with ten points and ten  assists.
 Arvada was working as a unit and  finished the game with 22  assists. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 3.8  assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 13.4.
Arvada now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-13.
 Looking ahead, Arvada will be playing at home against Middle Park  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Middle Park will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Arvada surely won't give up without a fight. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to  take on  Twin Peaks Classical Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on February 19th.
