Catalina Foothills posted their closest win since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the South Pasadena Tigers 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won five contests in a row.

Dylan Rubio paced Catalina Foothills' offense, picking up six kills. Rubio got some help from Kyle Senkerik and his ten assists. Rubio was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Catalina Foothills' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for South Pasadena, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Catalina Foothills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Eastlake on the 1st. As for South Pasadena, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Bellflower on the 4th.
