Baseball Recap: Mapleton Comes Up Short

Mapleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwestern Huskies.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Northwestern, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Mapleton will head out on the road to take on Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Big Red have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.6 runs per game on average), something the Mounties will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northwestern, they will be playing at home against Norwayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
