Football Recap: Suwannee Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Suwannee has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Keystone Heights Indians. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Indians are ranked 203rd).

Suwannee's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Keystone Heights, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suwannee will take on Madison County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Keystone Heights will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palatka at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Palatka's defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Keystone Heights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
