Soccer Recap: Jefferson Starts off Right with Win over St. John's

Jefferson had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the St. John's Bluejays a 1-0 shutout. Jefferson wouldn't have won without Claire Stokes, who scored the game-winner.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John's, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
