Baseball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood fell victim to Mark Morris and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Monarchs, falling 12-0. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mark Morris, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will welcome Anacortes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anacortes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lakewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mark Morris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kelso at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Kelso's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Mark Morris' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
