Chillicothe came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Unioto Shermans with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-13, 25-21.

Mercer Cutright paced Chillicothe's offense, picking up 14 kills. Cutright got some help from David Rourke and his 37 assists. Cutright also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Isaac Herlihy, racking up three apiece.

Chillicothe's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Unioto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Chillicothe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Wayne on the 15th. As for Unioto, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Worthington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
