Recap: Rivercrest Rebels vs. Paris Wildcats
The Rivercrest Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Paris on the road and fell 70-34. Rivercrest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Paris apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2016.
When it comes to explaining why Rivercrest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anna Duvall. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with 3 steals. Duvall scored a full 58.8% of Rivercrest's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rivercrest has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Paris, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Rivercrest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chisum at 4:34 p.m. on November 30th. As for Paris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Commerce at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Commerce presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Paris in Texas (Commerce is ranked 124th, while Paris is ranked 608th).
