Mellen is a perfect 10-0 against Lac Courte Oreilles since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Granite Diggers will be home for the holidays to greet the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Mellen's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lac Courte Oreilles has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Monday, Mellen was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-58 to Hurley. The loss was the Granite Diggers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Lac Courte Oreilles had to suffer through a 55-28 loss at the hands of Bayfield.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mellen fell to 3-1. As for Lac Courte Oreilles, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
