Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mya Spitler and Kylie Geiser Lead Waynedale to Victory

Waynedale picked up another tournament win on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mapleton Mounties. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

While Waynedale won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.

Leading Waynedale to victory were Kylie Geiser and Mya Spitler. Geiser had 16 digs and two aces, while Spitler had 11 digs. Geiser has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Waynedale was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive contests.

Waynedale's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Mapleton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 6-18 record this season.

Waynedale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Hillsdale on the 22nd. Mapleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
