Volleyball Recap: Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 25-10.

Winthrop College Prep Academy found their leader in sophomore Emmanuel Reyes, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Reyes.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will venture away from home to take on Seven Rivers Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they will square off against Keswick Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
