Recap: St. Mary's Rams vs. Lincoln Trojans

The St. Mary's Rams fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Lincoln Trojans on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Trojans 77-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (63), St. Mary's still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's still got an impressive performance from Cayden Ward, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ward is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of William Weathington, who scored 12 points along with four steals.

Even though they lost, St. Mary's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Anthony Moore was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds for Lincoln. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Donez Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Lincoln, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

St. Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln also has no future games currently scheduled.
