Wilmington hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sandwich struck out ten times.

Wilmington's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lisle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15-1.
