Fairmont Heights had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Largo Lions. Considering the Hornets have won six matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

In other batting news, Joshua Benitez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and seven RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Reyes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Fairmont Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Fairmont Heights pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Largo, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
