Basketball Recap: Trousdale County Comes Up Short

Trousdale County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Westmoreland Eagles, falling 66-36. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Trousdale County's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Westmoreland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trousdale County will challenge Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jackson County will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Trousdale County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westmoreland, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Westmoreland Eagles take on the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merrol Hyde Magnet is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
