Basketball Recap: Ansley Harbage Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Licking Valley

There's no place like home for Heath, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Licking Valley Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since February 5, 2024.

Heath's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ansley Harbage, who posted 13 points. The dominant performance gave Harbage a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Holmberg, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Heath has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Licking Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Heath will host Newark Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Licking Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Zanesville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Licking Valley is facing Zanesville at the right time seeing as Zanesville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
