Baseball Game Preview: John F. Kennedy Rockets vs. San Antonio Memorial Minutemen

For the second straight game, John F. Kennedy will face off against San Antonio Memorial. John F. Kennedy is taking a road trip to take on San Antonio Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, John F. Kennedy turned things around against San Antonio Memorial on Friday. They blew past the Minutemen 11-1. Considering the Rockets have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

MAX GARZA was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

In other batting news, John F. Kennedy got a big performance out of JORGE PINA, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs PINA has posted since back in February. JEFFREY TREVINO was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

John F. Kennedy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for San Antonio Memorial, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8-1.
