Volleyball Recap: Gregory-Portland Finds Home Court Redemption Against Brandeis

There's no place like home for Gregory-Portland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Brandeis Broncos 2-1 on Friday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Gregory-Portland got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 15-25, 25-21.

Brandeis' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elayna G, who had 16 assists and 14 digs, and Adalin Gutierrez, who had 15 digs and eight assists. Gutierrez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Gregory-Portland's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Brandeis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Gregory-Portland will take on Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandeis, they will head out to square off against Canyon at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
