Basketball Recap: Sandy Creek Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If St. Paul wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sandy Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Ethan Shaw. The Sandy Creek Cougars had just enough and edged the St. Paul Wildcats out 46-43 thanks in part to Shaw, who posted 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Sandy Creek's points.

Sandy Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for St. Paul, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Creek will welcome Nebraska Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul, they will host Central City at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
