Basketball Recap: O'Fallon Comes Up Short

O'Fallon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleville East Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Lancers are ranked 65th).

O'Fallon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Belleville East, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.

O'Fallon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-54 victory against East St. Louis on the 18th. Belleville East has also already played their next contest (against Belleville West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
