Recap: Mardela Warriors vs. Pocomoke Warriors
The Mardela Warriors lost against the Pocomoke Warriors back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Mardela was outmatched by Pocomoke on the road and fell 51-10. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mardela in their matchups with Pocomoke: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Maddie Esham, who scored 12 points along with four steals for Pocomoke. Esham hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Pham, who scored six points along with three steals.
Mardela's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pocomoke, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mardela will take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Holly Grove Christian's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Mardela's offense will have their work cut out for Mardela. As for Pocomoke, they will be playing at home against Bennett at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
