            Basketball Recap: Reagan Bison vs. Somerset Academy Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Reagan can now relate to. They took  a  60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Somerset Academy Panthers on Wednesday.
Reagan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sebastian Gonzalez, who  posted 16  points and seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Ronal Hodelin, who  dropped  a double-double with 15 points and 14  boards.
 Even though they lost, Reagan was working as a unit and  finished the game with 17  assists. They  racked up seven more  assists than Somerset Academy's also-impressive total of ten.
 It was another big night for  Christian Smith, who  went 6-for-13  on his way to 26  points for Somerset Academy. The dominant performance gave  Smith a new career-high in points.  Khimari Hudson was another key player,  putting up six  points along with five  rebounds and four  blocks.
Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Somerset Academy, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.
 Coincidentally, Reagan and Somerset Academy will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. Somerset Academy will head out to face Central on Friday, while Reagan will head out to face them  at 7:00  p.m.  on February 12th.
