League recap: Citrus Valley scores huge upset over Rim of the World

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rim of the World, who took down 209th ranked Rim of the World, 35-21. Dalton Douglas threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 96 yards in the win.

Banning extended the longest winning streak in Mountain Valley this week by beating Notre Dame, 62-31. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Connor Mc Coy was the best wideout in the league this week as Citrus Valley defeated the Fighting Scots. Mc Coy racked up nine receptions for 249 yards. Christian Johnson helped Citrus Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.

Paul Bradvica put up the best numbers through the air as the Titans lost to Banning. He finished with a total of 26 completions for 314 yards and four touchdowns. Bradvica's favorite target this week was Zachary Kelvington, who caught seven passes for 93 yards.

Jacob Taylor was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 199 yards on 37 carries as Rim of the World beat Rim of the World. Christian Smith also contributed to the rushing game with 20 yards on the ground.

5-foot-9 quarterback Bradvica of Notre Dame is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1823. He has also thrown 22 touchdowns. On the ground, Bob Gradillas' team's Taylor has rushed for 1965 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mc Coy. The Citrus Valley star has 26 catches for 534 yards.

Peter McGowan's team's Bradvica is within 177 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Jurupa Hills.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rubidoux takes on the Fighting Scots. At the moment, the Falcons are in third, while Rim of the World is in first.

The Spartans moved up to 429 from 476 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Jurupa Hills was able to make move up by besting Rubidoux 35-20.
