Basketball Recap: Roswell Takes a Loss

Roswell lost against Gainesville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Roswell Hornets lost to the Gainesville Red Elephants at home by a 77-61 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), the Hornets still had to take the loss.

Roswell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Gainesville, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Roswell will head out to take on Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roswell is facing Chattahoochee at the right time seeing as Chattahoochee is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Gainesville has already played their next contest (against Milton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
