Baseball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Calvary Baptist Academy lost against Byrd back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets.

Calvary Baptist Academy got a good showing from Patrick Digilormo, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Digilormo has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Calvary Baptist Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-10. As for Byrd, their victory bumped their record up to 12-20-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will host Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byrd, they will welcome Haynesville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Tornado will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
