Softball Recap: Eustace Find Success

Eustace saw some tournament action on Thursday. They skirted past the Overton Mustangs 4-3.

Madilyn Andrews was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Andrews was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Landrie Baker was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Eustace lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

The win got Eustace back to even at 1-1. As for Overton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Eustace didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Kerens on the 13th. As for Overton, they will take on Athens in a tournament on Friday.
