Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Valley). They strolled past the Soroco Rams with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 48-30.

Grand Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Pittman, who made all 5 shots she took to post 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Pittman has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Alexa DeMaio was another key player, as she made all 7 shots she took for 18 points.

Grand Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Soroco had strong showings from Mary Adrian, who posted nine points and seven boards, and Kolbie Pierce, who earned 11 points. That was a full 36.7% of Soroco's points, marking the seventh time in a row Pierce has had more than a third of the team's points.

Grand Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Soroco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

As of now, neither Grand Valley nor Soroco have any future games scheduled.
