Soccer Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the Pendleton Heights Arabians. While losing is never fun, New Castle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Pendleton Heights are ranked 62nd).

New Castle's goal came courtesy of Owen Atwood, which was the first he's scored this season.

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Pendleton Heights, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Looking ahead, New Castle will head out to face off against Rushville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pendleton Heights, they will be playing at home against Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Vernon will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pendleton Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
