Softball Recap: Richfield Spartans vs. Apple Valley Eagles

Richfield and Apple Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Richfield had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Apple Valley Eagles by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Richfield has lost by just one run.

Olivia Tomlinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
