Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westview couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 7-1 to the Carlsbad Lancers on Wednesday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Kiana Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 20-7-2. As for Carlsbad, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Westview nor Carlsbad have any future games scheduled.
