Baseball Recap: Franklin Tornadoes vs. Farmington Tigers
Franklin scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against the Farmington Tigers as the Franklin Tornadoes made off with a 16-5 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Owen Hannigan was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Kourtney Kaplan was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.
Franklin's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Farmington, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Franklin will head out on the road to challenge Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Farmington, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mascenic Regional at 4:00 p.m.
