Soccer Recap: Rising Sun Starts Season with Victory Against Franklin County

Rising Sun took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They never let the Franklin County Wildcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Rising Sun's winning goal came courtesy of Weston Cumberworth.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Rising Sun will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Trinity Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. As for Franklin County, they will venture away from home to take on Batesville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give Franklin County their first taste of in-conference action this season.
