Valley had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Durango Trailblazers by a score of 58-50.

Despite the loss, Durango saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lailah Cole posted 29 points and four steals. That was a full 58% of the Trailblazers' points, marking the 12th time in a row Cole has earned more than a third of the team's points. Samiiyah Wiggins was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 boards.

The victory got Valley back to even at 10-10. As for Durango, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 79-49 loss against Desert Oasis on the 3rd. As for Durango, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-35 defeat against Spring Valley on the 3rd.
