Bangor and Hampden are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Rams will take on the Broncos at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Bangor took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Camden Hills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Windjammers on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Emma Tripp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Sophie Lynch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Victoria Jarnich, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, Hampden strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Oxford Hills.

Hampden also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Cat Facchini gave up just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kiera Gabric, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Bangor's record is now 2-0. As for Hampden, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
