Soccer Recap: Roeper Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Roeper barely beat Lutheran Northwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Roughriders' defense stepped up to hand the Crusaders a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Roeper have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Roeper and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Lutheran Northwest, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roeper will challenge rival Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lutheran Northwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Oakland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
