Baseball Recap: Comer Comes Up Short

Comer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wadley Bulldogs, falling 12-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

Comer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Wadley, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Comer will welcome Billingsley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Billingsley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Comer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wadley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Randolph County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
