Preview: Vanoss Wolves vs. Wewoka Tigers
The Vanoss Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Wewoka Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vanoss comes in on 11 and Wewoka on three.
Vanoss can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over Buffalo Valley.
Holdenville typically has all the answers at home, but last Tuesday Wewoka proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 48-39 win over the Wolverines.
Wewoka's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timber Carter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Awtumn Sipes-Louie, who scored ten points along with four steals and two blocks.
Vanoss is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. As for Wewoka, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
