Baseball Recap: Mount Abram Takes a Loss

Mount Abram and Monmouth Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mount Abram had to settle for second. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Roadrunners haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kaiden Longley was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Mount Abram's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 5-9 when he doesn't).

Mount Abram now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Monmouth Academy, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

As of now, neither Mount Abram nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
